KJCA Membership Information Update

Dear all,

We regret to have to announce that due to increasing pressure on our costs, we have had to make the reluctant decision to raise our membership fees for 2014/15 from £5.00 to £7.00. As a member of the KJCA you not only get the right to have a say in the way we are run, but this also gives you a discount from the entry price of each of our 8 GP tournaments, a discount from the gold membership of our online chesskid club and a discount from our Friends and Family event.

We will need to put this price increase through on Paypal and as such (due to the way Paypal works) you will be receiving two emails from them; one stating that the membership has increased to £6 and a further email stating that the membership has increased to £7. If you wish continue to be registered as a member of the KJCA there is nothing further for you to do.

In a few cases, again due to the workings of paypal, there are a few members where we can not increase the price beyond £6 for some reason. For these people, if you wish to remain a member at the time of our renewal, we can collect the additional £1 from you at the next GP you enter.

If you do not wish to continue your membership with the KJCA, you just need to cancel your renewal subscription with Paypal at any point or as and when Paypal notifies you of the renewal.

If you are not currently a member of the KJCA you will not receive these emails from Paypal and there is nothing further for you to do, but you are welcome to join.

We appreciate there are a few of you who have paid £7.50 as new members. We have a list of your names and we will return the 50p difference at our next event. Many apologies.

Many thanks to you all for your continued support of the KJCA.
