Friends & Family 2018

This is a fun, social event for all the family and any friends you'd like to bring along. 

The event is a team effort with the best under 14 score being added to the best over 14 score to get your team total.

You may have as many players as you like in your team - so if any parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents or friends have always wanted to play, then this is their chance ! 

Of course, if just your young player wants to join in, then that is great as well, as we can sort out some ad-hoc teams on the day as needed. 

There is only one section but don't worry, GM Chris Ward will arrange the pairings to make sure everyone has a fair chance regardless of their level.  

Doors open at 9:30am,  First round starts at 10:00am , Prize Giving at approx. 4.30pm.

Chris will also have a variety of different prizes and trophies to give out at the end of the afternoon, as well as a trophies for best over team, best junior player and best adult player.

Five rounds of chess with 30 minutes for each player. 

There is also a light lunch of pizza and snacks, refreshments and tea/coffee/squash etc. provided as part of the entry fee for this event. 

(Note: If you are an adult, just leave the School blank. Don't worry, we won't show your DOB or Age to anyone except you)
