GP 3 – The Judd School – 2014/15

Our third GP of the 2014/15 season attracted another excellent turn out with a superb 101 players across 4 sections. The event was held on Sunday 18th January 2015 at the beautiful, historic school of The Judd School in Tonbridge, West Kent.


Congratulations to all the players, there were some hard fought battles across all sections and the whole day was conducted in a very sporting atmosphere.

 

Special congratulations go in particular to the top three and prize winners in each section:



 

U9: 1st Ciaran Brightley-Davies (5.5/6), 2nd Jai Singh Chaturvedi (5/6), 3rd equal on points Elena Currah and James Merriman (4.5/6) with Elena winning the third place trophy on the performance tie breaker.


 

U11: 1st Mahuaa Verma (6/6), 2nd Efe Shimwell (5/6), 3rd equal on points Ben Barton, Orla Dorman, Justus Genthe and Sasmit Neogi (4.5/6), with Justus winning the third place trophy on the performance tie breaker.


 

U14: 1st Aurideep Nayak (4.5/5), 2nd Bobby Akeya-Price (4/5) and 3rd equal on points Aryan Narayan and Alex Thompson (3.5/6), with Aryan winning the third place trophy on the performance tie breaker.


 

U181st equal Rohan Bansal, Rohan Shiatis and Anantha Anilkumar (4/5). A close fought contest across the whole section and it was great to see so many players coming back to our tournament and continuing their love of chess.

Secondary: St Olave’s School (66.8)
